Roughly eight years after their last linkup, Stüssy and Timberland are (possibly) reuniting for a new boot collaboration.
Images surfaced on January 5, revealing first looks at the two’s rumored collaboration, which appears to be a spin on the boot brand’s World Hiker silhouette (Supreme took the same boot model for a ride in the past).
Basically, the partnership — that is, Stüssy x Timberland — picks up where they left off in 2014 with an offering of hiking boots. Stüssy heads may remember the Fall/Winter 2014 pack of Euro Hikers.
Like the brands’ past collabs, the latest Stüssy x Timberland boot arrives with the California streetwear label’s branding on the tongue along with the presence of Timberland’s unmistakable tree emblem.
As you can see, the boots’ ankle receives most of the action (in a subtle way, of course). A silver GORE-TEX badge claims its place, indicating the use of the renowned technology praised for its waterproof and durable capabilities.
Meanwhile, an ostrich leather panel serves as a backdrop to these details, supplying some contrasting texture in the same breath.
Aside from the pebbled leather ankle, Stüssy and Timberland’s boots boast a smooth leather upper for the most part.
While all-black comprises the upper, the shoe’s bright neon green laces offsets the incognito vibes with a pop of color. It’s also worth pointing out that there’s an extra sets of laces attached, just in case you aren’t the mood to go goblin mode.
In 2022, Timberland issued many tasteful projects, thanks to Vans’ hiking skater shoes, Veneda Carter’s chic heeled boots, and Supreme’s lug boats. The label even enjoyed an unofficial and unhinged collaboration with Nike, courtesy of Lil Nas X and his smushed stompers.
With the new, alleged boot making rounds fresh into the new year, it looks like we may get a Timberland and Stüssy soon, ladies and gents.
It’s unknown whether more colorways will follow (I mean, what are Timbs without its famed Wheat scheme?). But, one thing is for sure: Stüssy and Timberland got us feeling like it’s 2014 again.
