adidas’ New 4D Sneaker Is Giving Us Nike Vibes

Highsnobiety aims to provide our readers with the latest updates in the sneaker world. However, we cannot verify the reliability of any unauthorized leaks or rumors unless this information is provided directly by the brands themselves.

A new adidas 4D sneaker emerged over the holiday weekend, giving us our first look at what insider @yankeekicks reveals is being called the 4D Cush. We have to admit, though, we’re getting some serious Nike vibes upon first glance, as those wavy lines remind us of silhouettes like the Zoom 2K and Air Max 270 React ENG. Nonetheless, the 4D Cush is still decidedly an adi creation, with that beefy 4D sole unit emerging at the heel.

The upper of the 4D Cush is seemingly crafted from mesh and suede, with plastic overlays serving to complement. Wavy lines draw attention to the side of the shoe à la the aforementioned Nike models. Similar to the 4D Kick that surfaced earlier in the year, the 4D tooling of the Cush only appears on the back portion of the sole unit. The sneaker certainly isn’t overly branded, as we merely see adidas’ Trefoil logo at the heel and “Cush” on the tongues.

The 4D Cush is the latest addition to adidas’ 4D lineup of sneakers featuring 3D-printed technology. Early on, 4D releases were few and far between, leaving many empty handed and eagerly awaiting the next launch. It appears, however, that the brand is currently focusing on releasing more 4D silhouettes, with models like the Cush and previously mentioned Kick on the horizon. While adidas has yet to announce the 4D Cush, insiders report that the sneaker will release in 2022. As always, though, keep it locked here for further info.
