The 2020 Collection brings fresh momentum to Flexform’s aesthetic-design code with many products emblematic of a lifestyle imbued with informal elegance that transcends the bounds of time and fashion.
Featuring bold personalities and the utmost in comfort, new seating systems become the star players in a domestic space envisioned as a true ecosystem of elements – sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, ottomans, tables and chairs – that dialogue harmoniously among themselves to create the feeling of a welcoming, protective habitat, in which one can finally feel at home.
One of the star players of Flexform’s new seating systems is the Echoes armchair. A small family of seating elements with big personalities calls to mind echoes of other seemingly contrasting times and cultures – Mediterranean and Scandinavian, both rustic and delicate, creating a sense of déjà vu and yet, timeless.
Designed by Christophe Pillet, the armchair’s construction displays a bold material contrast: the structure is in sleek stainless steel while the seat and backrest are made of fine woven paper or paper rush cord. The complex craftsmanship involved is reminiscent of traditional methods and still performed entirely by hand. A soft optional cushion can be added to the armchair to ensure the utmost comfort.
