Pearl Of The Orient: Manila Symphony Orchestra Will Perform At Asia Orchestra Week In Tokyo – Lifestyle Asia

Together with prodigy cellist Dadomar Das Castillo, the orchestra will perform to a sold-out audience at the Japanese concert hall.

The Manila Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Marlon Chen will soon perform at the prestigious Tokyo City Opera Concert Hall.

This event will take place at 7 P.M. on October 5 to mark Asia Orchestra Week.

The Manila Symphony Orchestra will perform alongside the Kbs Symphony Orchestra of Korea and the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra of Japan.

Interested viewers may catch a preview of their performance at 7:30 P.M. on September 29 at the Ayala Museum. Here, the museum will hold a send-off concert to support the 70-man orchestra.

The event entitled “VOYAGE: An MSO Send Off Concert for Asia Orchestra Week” will mirror the repertoire that the orchestra will perform in Tokyo.

Their upcoming pieces include Lucio San Pedro’s “Lahing Kayumanggi,” Elgar’s “Cello Concerto” in collaboration with award-winning cellist Dadomar Das Castillo, and Prokofiev’s “Ballet Suite” from Romeo and Juliet.
