Richemont's Timevallée Takes To The Skies And High Seas

TimeVallée on board MSC Seascape, a luxury cruise ship that officially launches at a ceremony in New York on December 7.

All eyes are on Qatar right now as the Fifa World Cup proceeds.

The football spectacular has come a little too early for Richemont to benefit from its latest TimeVallée multibrand luxury watch showroom, which is set to open in an extension of Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

It will be TimeVallée’s first airport duty free location outside of China, and signals a confidence that air travel around the world will continue to recover following years of covid-related restrictions.

It joins a network of over 30 prestigious TimeVallée stores that began launching across China and other Asian markets before heading West into Europe with a new showroom in Lucerne.

Another TimeVallée in the affluent travel retail sector will be unveiled next month when MSC Seascape, a luxury cruise ship, is officially launched at a ceremony in New York.

TimeVallée has a showroom on board the cruise ship.

“The beauty of luxury shopping at sea is that cruise guests have plenty of time on board,” Brandon Briggs, MSC Cruises SVP Onboard Revenues, told Latte. “Since cruises are most often at least seven days long, guests have the ability to return throughout the cruise, revisiting their desired purchases and savouring the luxury experience, which is why TimeVallée’s multi-brand but in-depth approach was a perfect fit for our guest experience.”

Michael Guenoun, CEO of TimeVallée International, adds: “We are delighted to partner with MSC to open TimeVallée at sea for the first time. We are bringing the utmost luxury experience for watch lovers to discover a unique luxury retail concept where client can discover and browse through the most sought-after fine watchmaking brands.”

The on board TimeVallée store carries watches from Cartier, Baume & Mercier, Hublot, IWC, Mont Blanc, Panerai and Tag Heuer.
