Spaghetti pomodorini e burrata: the original Italian recipe!

Ingredients (4 people):

  • 320 gr spaghetti
  • 320 gr cherry tomatoes
  • 320 gr burrata
  • 20 gr fresh basil leaves
  • 1 onion
  • Olive extra virgin oil
  • Salt

1- Put the onion thinly sliced and 2 tablespoon of the extra virgin olive oil in a pan and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.

2- Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into two. Add the cherry tomatoes and a big pinch of salt to the onion and cook for 10 minutes or until they collapse, adding some hot water if necessary.

3- Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions for “al dente”. The most important take-away from this step is that you need to boil the water before you add in the pasta.

4- Pour the spaghetti in the pan with cherry tomatoes and finish the cooking.

5- Turn the pasta into individual bowls and enjoy hot with fresh burrata and fresh basil leaves on top.
