Sneakerheads are bombarded with news of upcoming releases on a daily basis. To save you some time from searching each and every site and leak account, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to sift through the onslaught and bring you a few noteworthy kicks that have captured our attention.
Today, we’re showcasing The Marathon Clothing and PUMA‘s first collection of 2021, which is led by a co-branded take on the Suede. The TMC x PUMA Suede is the brand’s debut collaboration on the silhouette, as it was created to honor the vision and legacy of Nipsey Hussle.
In other footwear news, New Balance has a new two-sneaker release on the way that pays homage to the brand’s signature grey colorway. Aptly titled the “Grey Day” pack, the capsule consists of the staple 574 and the newer 57/40.
As we are entering into the warm weather season, Nike recently delivered a stylish slip-on option with the Offline 2.0. The silhouette is essentially part sneaker and part sandal.
And lastly, go-to flip-flop provider Havaianas will soon be issuing its first-ever NFT in collaboration with designer and artist, Adhemas Batista.
Release Date: May 7
Editor’s Notes: PUMA is celebrating the life and legacy of Nipsey Hussle by releasing a new colorway of the Suede in collaboration with the late rapper’s brand, The Marathon Clothing. The iconic sneaker appears in grey suede with gold metallic foil accents. TMC branding is embossed on the heel, while the PUMA x TMC logo is printed on the sockliner to further signal the collab. The limited edition sneaker is releasing alongside a co-branded “Hussle Way” logo T-shirt.

Editor’s Notes: For New Balance’s fictional “Grey Day” holiday, the brand is releasing commemorative takes on two silhouettes, one staple and one newer. Subsequently, we find the 574 and the 57/40 draped in NB’s signature grey colorway that has long since been a fan favorite. Both models are crafted from a blend of premium materials — as is customary with New Balance — and marked with signature NB branding.

Editor’s Notes: Havaianas has teamed up with Brazilian artist Adhemas Batista for its debut NFT release. The virtual collection includes five artistic interventions, all of which are inspired by happiness. A portion of the proceeds from the Havaianas NFT auction will be given to the Favela Galeria project, an open-air art museum located in São Paulo, Brazil, where Adhemas began drawing. The auction will run for 24 hours beginning May 12.

Editor’s Notes: If you’re searching for a non-sneaker option for summer, but finding it hard to deviate from the overall look a sneaker provides, you should opt for Nike’s Offline 2.0. The slip-on has the appearance of a sneaker on the upper, with the overall build of a sandal, thus allowing your feet to breath during the hotter months ahead.
