4 MONCLER HYKE Is Another Stroke of Genius

Massive coat fans, rejoice! For 4 MONCLER HYKE is back for 2023 and the outerwear is bigger than ever.

Following a debut link-up for Fall/Winter 2021, the Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode-fronted label is reuniting with the Italian outerwear aficionados for another lesson in luxury minimalism in the form of a 14-piece capsule collection which lands online on January 12, 2023.

For those not au fait, Moncler Genius is a collaborative platform created by brand CEO Remo Ruffini whereby the label invites designers to have their say on archetypal brand pieces — and this season HYKE is at it again.

Expanding on themes from its first collection, HYKE delves further into the Moncler archive to revive various garments and reinterpret them with high-tech fabrics which resulting in a pleasingly-subtle, yet highly-technical, collection.

The black and white palette extends beyond outerwear and into ready-to-wear and accessories, like GORE-TEX bucket hats, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and tees, as well as a pair of safari-style HYKE Desertyx boots derived from the Japanese label’s mainline collection.

Later this year, Moncler is bringing its Genius concept to London for the first time with a live showcase set to take place during the capital’s fashion week.

While exact details of its London debut are yet to be shared, the label has revealed that the expansion will “give voice to a new roster of creative minds coming from all disciplines and spaces, each one expressing a distinct interpretation of the Moncler world.”

To discover exactly what that means will have to wait for now, but one thing we can be certain of is that it’ll certainly be another stroke of Genius.
