These AJ1s Might Cost You a Month of Rent

Apparently, the Jordan Brand has a luxury sneaker collection in the works, which includes Air Jordan 1s with a price tag equivalent to copping a decent 1-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn (on a good day).

As whispered by a few sources, rumored Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 Wings sneakers are expected to roll in as early as Summer 2023, asking for $1500 for retail (yes retail, not resale).

The AJ1 first emerges in Black and Wolf Grey — similar to the recent women’s pony hair rendition – along with metallic gold accents, as seen on the gilded lace eyelets and Wings emblem.

The first rollout of the “Wings” collection also includes an Air Jordan 1 Low rendition, which, like its high-top counterpart, carries a hefty price tag (a purported $1300).

The Jordan Brand’s “Wings” collection allegedly incorporates specialized packaging and the cream of the cop materials, resulting in these outrageous prices for the sneakers (I’m not even sure if that’s real gold).

This isn’t the Jordan Brand’s first time dropping expensive shoes, either. Aside from the explosive Dior 1s, the brand also issued a sizable Pinnacle series, whose premium details remind you of today’s A Ma Maniére collabs.

Plus, the luxury sneaker game is booming right now, and perhaps the Jordan Brand just want in on the action again. As pricey as they are, luxury footwear remains a major point of interest nowadays, from Louis Vuitton’s coveted Air Force 1s to basically any Rick Owens shoe. Even Tiffany & Co. couldn’t even resist the urge.

The Jordan Wings “Wings” collection doesn’t stop at the above AJ1s, as the label has more high-priced Air Jordan 1s — both high and low-tops — prepped to drop over course of the year.
