Things Got Heated at HELIOT EMIL

Danish label HELIOT EMIL took the term “on flames” to another level on day two of Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023, after quite literally sending a model down the runway engulfed in actual flames.

The Copenhagen-based outfit — which was founded by brothers Julius and Victor Juul — was presenting its expansive FW23 collection in the south-west of the French capital in front of a packed and expectant crowd.

Having made its fashion week debut at Milan SS17, HELIOT EMIL has since garnered a reputation for its experimental approach to fashion and pushing the semantic dialogue within the creative industry.

Its collections are both unisex and monochrome, and often take inspiration from its Scandinavian roots, with minimalist colorways joined by techy notes and outlandish minor details.

While at first glance HELIOT EMIL might look like any other minimalist brand, it’s anything but — especially when its gear is engulfed in flames and meandering down a runway anyway.
