Stüssy and Nike’s first drop of the year may be around the corner, as recent images revealed first looks at another collaborative Air Penny 2 sneaker.
While last year’s Air Penny 2s saw stealthy makeovers (FYI: sizes are still up for grabs), the latest surfaces in a spring-worthy beige and black scheme with pops of blue.
Aside from the color scheme, the newest Stüssy x Nike Air Penny 2 preserves the same construction — premium hemp and suede upper, familiar rippled midsole, transparent Air Max unit — as seen on 2022’s offering. Fans can also expect the third collab to carry the same $200 price tag.
Like usual, expect collaborative clothing to accompany the upcoming Air Penny 2 drop (if rumors prove true, that is).
Per leaked images, sweatshirts and a cozy striped set with dual branding are speculated to arrive alongside the sneaker on February 14, a.k.a. Valentine’s Day.
Stüssy continues to veer away from more mainstream Nike silhouettes in favor of more underrated models, evident with its takes on the Air Max 2013, Air Force 1 Mid, and now another Penny.
With the promise of a second Spring ’23 delivery on February 3 — the teaser featured a Nike shoe, by the way — expect more details on Stüssy and Nike’s forthcoming Air Penny 2 release soon.
