The Fine Watch Club is an international multi-brand watch club aimed at anyone with an interest in luxury mechanical watches. The Club offers different programs and experiences for Watch Aficionados and, also releases limited-edition watches. With their latest collaboration, the Fine Watch Club has put their own spin on the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea.
Launched at Watches and Wonders 2022, the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea is the brand’s dive watch collection. This classic, no-nonsense diver stands out with its modern dials inspired by glacial ice. Its texture was achieved using a traditional technique called gratté-boisé. Presented in a green colourway, the Fine Watch Club limited edition features a 23 numeral (with green lume) on its textured dial.
The model is presented in a 41mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional steel and ceramic bezel matching the colour of the dial. The screw-down caseback is emblazoned with a scuba diver in glacial waters with an iceberg and the limited edition caption. The crown also screws down and the water resistance is rated at 300m. The model conforms to the ISO 6425 norm for diving watches.
The Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea is powered by the automatic calibre MB 24.17, based on the Sellita SW200-1. This precise, tried-and-tested calibre has 26 jewels and beats at 28,800vph (4Hz). Its autonomy is of 38-hours when fully wound. It displays central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and the date. The watch comes on a stainless-steel bracelet (tapering from 20mm to 18mm) secured by a folding buckle released by a pair of pushers. It can be adjusted on the wrist and features quick-release levers for an easy swap to a rubber strap.
The Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea FWC is released in a limited edition of 23 pieces. It retails for CHF 3,295 and it will be delivered as of April 1st (at Watches and Wonders 2023 for all orders taken before March 25th).
